Responsibilities

• Build and uphold Primer’s culture and maintain trusting relationships with families
• Teach daily lessons in reading, writing, and math through small-group instruction (K-2) or literacy and digital math support (3-8)
• Run high-quality Pursuits, Primer’s interdisciplinary curriculum for applied learning
• Monitor student progress using the school’s operations digital platform and review data weekly
• Lead parent conferences and support admissions by running campus tours
• Maintain a predictable, well-run, and safe classroom environment
• Participate in daily staff check-ins and collaborate with the campus team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience as a lead teacher, homeschooling parent, or child care provider for K-8 kids
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and teammates
• Ability to create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction and tracking student progress
• Proactive mindset and strong organizational skills
• Ability to undergo fingerprinting through the Florida Clearinghouse system
