Teacher of Science

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated science curriculum for students
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Facilitate a learning experience that encourages students to achieve their individual potential
• Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and academic growth
• Manage operational tasks including lesson planning, resource development, and maintaining student records
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
• Strong knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
• Proficiency in ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive professional relationships
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills and strong time management

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialism in teaching Chemistry or Physics is advantageous but not essential
