Teacher of Science

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Science curriculum for students.
• Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of students as a teacher and form tutor.
• Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning.
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress to raise attainment standards.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
• Create a motivating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Possess a relevant undergraduate degree in a Science discipline.
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice).
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
• Proficient ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards and educational technology.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with staff.
