Teacher of Physics

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5
• Teach general Science at Key Stage 3
• Foster a strong understanding of physics concepts and scientific principles for students of all abilities
• Act as a Form Tutor to provide high-quality pastoral care and guidance
• Contribute to the wider school life through enrichment activities, trips, and co-curricular opportunities
• Plan and deliver lessons, monitor student progress, and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Requirements

• Degree in Physics or a related subject
• Relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Physics and Science across the 11–18 age range
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to adaptive teaching to maximise student progress
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative professional approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in curriculum development
• Experience in a Form Tutor or similar pastoral role
