About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students across the 11-18 age group
- Deliver engaging, challenging, and supportive lessons that develop student confidence, fluency, and problem-solving skills
- Implement adaptive teaching strategies to maximize student progress
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and students to support the school community
- Maintain strong classroom and behavior management to ensure a productive learning environment
Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 (or the potential to do so successfully as an ECT)
- Proven classroom management and behavior management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to engage a wide range of learners in a constructive way
- Passion for inspiring young people to develop curiosity and resilience in Mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching KS3 Computing or Physics (may allow for eligibility for a full-time position)
- Previous experience in an independent school setting
