About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Mathematics curriculum
  • Monitor and support the academic progress and personal development of students
  • Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
  • Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care to a designated group of students
  • Maintain accurate records and track student attainment to raise standards
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Participate in professional development and the performance management process

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
  • Successful teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
  • Proficiency in ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
