About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Mathematics curriculum
- Monitor and support the academic progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
- Contribute to raising standards of student attainment through high-quality teaching
- Engage in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning and resource development
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress through effective information management
- Communicate positively with students, parents, and other external stakeholders
- Participate in staff development and the academy's performance management process
Requirements
- Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
- Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
- Experience or understanding of working within multi-ethnic urban school environments
- Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage own workload
Preferred Qualifications
- Primary teaching experience is highly desirable
- Experience working within an 11-18 school setting
