Teacher of Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Mathematics curriculum
• Monitor and support the academic progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Contribute to raising standards of student attainment through high-quality teaching
• Engage in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning and resource development
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress through effective information management
• Communicate positively with students, parents, and other external stakeholders
• Participate in staff development and the academy's performance management process

Requirements

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
• Experience or understanding of working within multi-ethnic urban school environments
• Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage own workload

Preferred Qualifications

• Primary teaching experience is highly desirable
• Experience working within an 11-18 school setting
