Teacher of Geography

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Geography curriculum for students
• Monitor and support the academic progress and personal development of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress to raise attainment standards
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders
• Contribute to the academy's quality assurance and staff development processes

Requirements

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification
• Possess a relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven secondary teaching experience (including teaching practice)
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
• Proficient ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships
• Excellent communication and time management skills
