Teacher of Geography

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across the 11–18 age range, including KS3, GCSE, and A Level
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that deepen understanding of physical and human processes
• Use adaptive teaching methods and technology to support and stretch learners of all abilities
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and departmental enrichment, including fieldwork and trips
• Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and supporting students' personal development and wellbeing
• Participate in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Geography or a related field
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level
• Experience teaching at GCSE or A Level is highly desirable
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
