About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated English curriculum for students
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and academic growth
  • Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
  • Maintain appropriate records and track student progress through effective information management
  • Communicate positively with students, parents, and other external stakeholders
  • Create a motivating, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
  • Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive professional relationships
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
