About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated English and Drama curriculum
  • Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of students as a teacher and form tutor
  • Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
  • Maintain accurate records and track student attainment to raise standards
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and external stakeholders
  • Create a motivating, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
  • Strong knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to develop lesson plans, resources, and effective assessments
  • Proficient ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
