Teacher of Economics

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Economics curriculum
• Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
• Maintain accurate records and track student attainment and progress
• Contribute to the academy's responsibility for providing opportunities for personal growth
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree in Economics or a related subject
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
• Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
• Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive professional relationships
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
