About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated Drama curriculum for students
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
  • Facilitate a learning experience that encourages students to achieve their individual potential
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and academic growth
  • Manage operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning and resource development
  • Maintain appropriate records and track student progress through effective information management
  • Communicate positively with students, parents, and other external stakeholders
  • Create a motivating, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification
  • Possess a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements for KS3 and KS4
  • Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships
