Teacher of A-level Science

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated science curriculum for A-level students
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Plan lessons, develop resources, and contribute to departmental strategic planning
• Maintain accurate records and track student progress to raise standards of attainment
• Contribute to the personal development of students through pastoral care and tutoring
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other external stakeholders

Requirements

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
• Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4
• Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive professional relationships
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills and strong time management
