Teacher

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a classroom culture of high expectations and high support
• Implement a coherent, research-based curriculum through thoughtful lesson planning
• Use assessment data to refine instruction and drive student outcomes
• Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues
• Engage in training and dialogue on race, identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Support scholars' social-emotional growth and positive classroom culture
• Foster active citizenship through discussions on current events and community service
• Participate in school-wide events, family conferences, tutoring, and assigned activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Commitment to antiracism and a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create an inclusive, positive classroom culture with high expectations

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably in urban education
• State certification
