Teacher Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the daily program
• Prepare the learning environment and necessary materials and supplies
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Communicate regularly with parents as directed by a supervisor
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
• Support volunteers and attend required meetings
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and employees
• Greet children, parents, staff, and guests

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a health screening and TB test
• Must pass background fingerprint clearance
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must be a mandated abuse reporter
• Compliance with immunization records (SB 792)

Preferred Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Prior experience working with young children
• 6 ECE units
