Teacher Aide

Responsibilities

• Support the daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and clean environment
• Assist Lead and Associate Teachers with classroom routines, including feeding, diapering, and napping
• Implement activities that support early language, literacy, and social-emotional development
• Maintain active supervision of children and follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements
• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain organization
• Support child observations, documentation, and attendance records
• Partner with families to create a welcoming environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must pass a health screening and TB test
• Must pass background fingerprint clearance
• Compliance with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 ECE units
• Infant/Toddler specific units
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Previous experience in a licensed early childhood program
• Bilingual skills
