TBM Mechanical Foreman

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of mechanical equipment for SEM and tunneling activities
• Coordinate mechanical works with engineers, site managers, and other trades to align with tunneling schedules
• Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular safety briefings
• Manage allocation of mechanical resources including personnel, tools, and materials
• Maintain detailed records of mechanical works, equipment usage, and maintenance logs
• Address mechanical challenges and work with engineering teams to develop solutions
• Oversee maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment used in tunneling

Requirements

• 7-10 years of mechanical work experience in construction
• Experience in tunneling or underground construction preferred
• Proven supervisory and leadership experience
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of SEM tunneling processes and mechanical systems
• Deep understanding of safety regulations in tunneling environments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to register as a member of the local union
