TBM Mechanical Foreman

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of mechanical equipment related to SEM & tunneling activities
• Collaborate with engineers, site managers, and other trades to coordinate mechanical works
• Implement quality control procedures and regularly inspect mechanical installations
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and conduct regular safety briefings
• Manage the allocation of mechanical resources, including personnel, tools, and materials
• Maintain detailed records of mechanical works, daily logs, and equipment usage
• Address mechanical issues and work with engineering teams to develop solutions
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of all mechanical equipment used in SEM & tunneling

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in mechanical work within the construction industry
• Experience in tunneling or underground construction preferred
• Proven track record in a supervisory role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of SEM tunneling processes and mechanical systems
• Deep understanding of safety regulations in tunneling and underground construction
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must be willing to register as a member of the local union
