About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide housing-focused case management to transitional age youth (ages 18–27) to support their transition out of homelessness.
- Assist participants with securing housing by navigating applications, viewing units, and facilitating access to credit and background reports.
- Educate clients on tenant rights, lease responsibilities, and effective communication with landlords.
- Develop individualized case management plans and connect clients with community resources for housing stability and self-sufficiency.
- Plan and lead group Life Skills sessions covering budgeting, financial management, and healthcare navigation.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records, including case notes and data entry into systems like Apricot and ONE.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations and government agencies to coordinate essential services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing direct services to similar populations.
- 2–3 years of successful experience working specifically with homeless or young adult populations.
- Proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with unhoused populations.
- Experience working with populations representative of Five Keys students.
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles and recovery models.
