Tax Tech Manager (Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, tasks, teams, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for global tax determination and eInvoicing projects.
• Oversee functional and technical direction, including requirements analysis, process design, and configuration of tax automation software.
• Act as a techno-functional Subject Matter Expert and bridge between client business teams and Oracle technical teams.
• Develop client workplans, schedules, and weekly project status reports.
• Provide mentorship and training to staff and support business development through proposal preparation and client meetings.
• Review documentation for business and system processes related to tax determination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Information Technology.
• 8+ years of Oracle Fusion experience, specifically with Oracle Financials and Tax.
• 5-7 years of experience providing tax automation services.
• Deep knowledge of tax software solutions such as Sabrix, Vertex, or Taxware.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel independently (50%+).

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Experience with ONESOURCE, Vertex O Services, or Avalara.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of international transaction tax or e-commerce transaction lifecycles.
