Tax Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine, calculate, and ensure timely submission of all applicable Mexican tax obligations, including monthly provisional payments (ISR, IEPS) and annual corporate income tax.
• Lead tax activities during monthly financial closings, including the preparation of tax accounting entries, PTU and tax provisions, and BlackLine account reconciliations.
• Reconcile electronic invoices (CFDI) against accounting income and expenses to ensure consistency between accounting records and tax declarations.
• Prepare and present corporate tax reports (MY TAX Reporting, TAX Risk Reporting) in accordance with Sanofi Group requirements.
• Manage all informative tax returns before the SAT, including Electronic Accounting, DIOT, and other mandatory filings.
• Support internal and external tax audits by providing required documentation and collaborating with tax managers and external providers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and systems, ensuring alignment with IFRS/NIF principles and internal control frameworks.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Extensive experience in tax accounting, including deferred taxes and tax provisions under IFRS.
• Proven experience working within a multinational corporate environment.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican local tax regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• High level of English proficiency for professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
