Tax Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with corporate tax filings
• Administer SAT portals and processes with government entities
• Conduct basic to intermediate tax research in Mexico
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on intercompany tax matters
• Work with the Tax Manager on transactions, tax elections, and consulting projects
• Prepare monthly PST, QST, and HST declarations for review
• Maintain correspondence with tax authorities such as CRA and Mexican authorities
• Prepare tax information for annual forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Support tax audits for foreign subsidiaries and implement internal tax controls
• Manage due diligence projects to determine tax obligations and risks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Specialization or Master's in Taxation is required
• 3 years of related experience in tax accounting
• Previous experience with Mexican taxes and tax audits
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strategic thinking and strong communication skills
