Tax Refund Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the process of VAT (IVA) refund requests in accordance with company policies and tax laws to contribute to working capital.
• Verify and ensure the delivery of information required by tax authorities for refund requests to ensure timely compliance.
• Prepare and manage working papers for cash flow in income-receiving accounts to reconcile IVA-based deposits with total deposits.
• Integrate IVA-based income information from various systems by item, ticket, and digital tax receipts.
• Manage working papers for cash flow in paying accounts to integrate tax bases for creditable IVA.
• Verify and integrate IVA-based expenditure information, including digital tax receipts for payments and electronic payment receipts.
• Control and review IVA and IEPS rates per item according to tax provisions to ensure accurate tax determination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting, Finance, Financial Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in tax areas, tax accounting, or tax refund coordination.
• Proven experience in tax refund management, recovery of tax balances, and handling SAT requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation, including IVA, ISR, and the Federal Tax Code (CFF).
• Proficiency with the SAT portal and tax mailbox (buzón tributario).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience managing accounting ERP systems.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications related to database administration, such as Oracle (OCA/OCP) or Microsoft SQL Server (MCSA/MCSE).
