Tax Manager - Real Estate

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate the preparation of tax returns for partnerships, individuals, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations
• Advise clients on tax planning, research, compliance, partnership allocations, and general transactional activities
• Conduct high-level research on complex or emerging tax issues, including state and international tax matters
• Manage assignment objectives, scope, work plans, and resource allocation
• Lead client billing and accounts receivable processes
• Identify and resolve complex assignment issues to ensure engagement profitability
• Assist with new business development and the expansion of services for existing clients
• Coach and mentor staff and seniors regarding client engagements and career progression

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting focused on taxation
• Minimum of 1 year in a managerial role involving client and team management
• Experience working with a wide variety of entity types
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• CPA (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant is preferred
• Knowledge of CCH Tax Axcess, XCM, or CaseWare is preferred
