Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between partners, clients, and staff to manage multiple tax projects and client engagements.
• Plan, schedule, and staff engagements using firm policies and procedures.
• Supervise staff, provide on-the-job training, and perform reviews of tax returns and work papers.
• Maintain regular contact with clients to develop a thorough understanding of their business needs.
• Prepare complex business tax returns and manage governmental tax examinations.
• Drive practice development efforts and assist in bringing in new business.
• Communicate engagement progress, problems, and resolutions to clients through written and oral correspondence.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in accounting and tax with increasing complexity and scope.
• Demonstrated ability to bring in new business to a CPA firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• Current and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Membership in good standing with the AICPA.
• Proficiency in various accounting and tax software.
• Commitment to completing at least forty hours of continuing professional education annually.
