Tax Manager Germany

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all tax obligations to ensure compliance with German tax laws and internal guidelines
• Advise management and various departments on tax matters, including cross-border transactions
• Manage communication with tax authorities and support the company during tax audits
• Review tax assessments and initiate legal remedies such as appeals or objections where necessary
• Analyze and implement changes in tax law, specifically regarding energy and eco-taxes (e.g., EEG levies)
• Plan and support tax-related restructurings, such as mergers, and manage corporate legal and contractual tax matters

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree or training in Tax and/or Accounting
• Multi-year professional tax experience, ideally within an auditing firm, tax consultancy, or a corporate tax department
• Strong knowledge of German tax law and experience dealing with tax authorities
• Fluent German (business level) and good English skills
• Strong communication skills, organizational talent, and a proactive approach to projects
