Tax Manager - EMEA

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of the MEA corporate tax strategy to optimize the tax profile and ensure regional compliance.
• Implement Haleon’s Group Tax Strategy and identify process improvements to enable successful execution.
• Ensure all regional interactions with external stakeholders and tax authorities align with the Group Tax Strategy and corporate values.
• Deliver tax optimization and risk mitigation opportunities across the MEA region.
• Partner with the Head of Tax Reporting to deliver accurate tax numbers, forecasting tax charges and cash tax for Group reporting.
• Drive the strategic direction of external tax audits and enter commercial negotiations with local tax authorities as necessary.
• Support Business Development and M&A activities to ensure tax-efficient implementation.
• Provide tax advocacy and support to government affairs to obtain tax incentives and rulings.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer or accountant.
• 12+ years of direct tax experience across the MEA region within large accounting firms or multinational corporations.
• Strong knowledge of international tax principles and transfer pricing frameworks, including OECD guidance.
• Proven experience leading relationships with tax authorities across multiple MEA jurisdictions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills within multinational, cross-cultural environments.
• Ability to solve complex problems independently and translate technical data into executive-level insights.
• Fluency in English.
