Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee direct tax compliance activities across multiple European entities
• Support tax setup and compliance for entities under MiCAR, EMI, and MiFID frameworks
• Coordinate preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns and provisions
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities
• Support tax audits, authority inquiries, and regulatory reviews
• Provide tax advice on business initiatives, new products, and corporate projects
• Monitor developments in Austrian, European, and international tax legislation
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions
• Maintain tax governance frameworks and internal controls
• Drive process improvements and automation for scalable tax processes

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in direct, corporate, or international tax
• Strong knowledge of Austrian corporate income tax and withholding tax
• Experience managing tax audits and interacting with tax authorities
• Solid understanding of tax reporting and risk management
• Professional fluency in English
• Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus
• Big 4 or multinational corporate tax experience is a strong advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or digital asset businesses
• Exposure to transfer pricing and international group structures
• Knowledge of crypto asset taxation and European regulatory frameworks
• German language proficiency
