Tax Financial Services Senior

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare yearly tax filings for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Funds, and their general partners or investment managers
• Perform security analysis and calculate various Fund tax adjustments
• Review and prepare complex partner tax allocations
• Assist the Fund Administration business in resolving day-to-day tax issues
• Communicate with federal and state tax authorities as needed
• Research the tax treatment of complex financial instruments and corporate actions of Funds
• Assist in tax planning for Funds, including structuring new Funds and optimizing existing tax strategies

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant tax experience with a strong compliance and research background
• Strong knowledge of partnership tax accounting rules, specifically regarding hedge funds
• CPA eligibility
• Master’s in Taxation preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high-quality, detailed work
• Strong executive presence and ability to interact effectively with clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience within the financial services industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime during peak tax seasons
