Tax Expert

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, and maximize refunds.
• Act as a proactive community ambassador by representing TurboTax locally and engaging with new prospects.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience through professional, in-person, and virtual interactions.
• Build long-term client relationships and drive customer loyalty through personalized service.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted credential as an EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Availability for a flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond standard tax filing.
• Interest in building a local or online social presence to create accessible tax-related content.
