Tax Equity Financing Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall scope of project financing for renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, BESS) in the US and Canada
• Manage the full financing lifecycle from initial structuring and financial model analysis to teaser/CIM preparation and closing
• Develop bankable financial models and analyze project profitability under various structures, including tax equity, hybrid models, and tax credit sales
• Provide strategic guidance to O&M and Asset Management teams to mitigate Tax Credit Recapture Risk and ensure IRA compliance (Transferability, Prevailing Wage, and Apprenticeship requirements)
• Collaborate with global finance and renewable energy business teams located in the US and Seoul
• Stay current on evolving financing structures and regulatory environments in the US and Canada renewable energy sectors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record from a reputable program
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax equity financing within the Solar/BESS sectors in the US
• Proven experience with full financial closings, hybrid financing, and commercial project loans
• Advanced skills in developing and managing bankable financial models for Solar/BESS projects
• Ability to travel within the US and Canada as required
• Must be able to work on-site at the headquarters in Ridgefield Park, NJ
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is highly preferred
