Tax Engine Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the Tax Engine product vision and define the 18-month build sequence for Tax Engine 2.0
• Drive content strategy by defining how tax rates, rules, and jurisdictions are sourced, validated, and scaled
• Partner with the Product Manager as a tax-domain equal to lead prioritization and design conversations
• Act as the senior tax authority for the Tax Engine, signing off on design decisions and edge cases
• Direct the central tax research and content development function to ensure quality meets product requirements

Requirements

• Multi-product, multi-vendor tax engine experience in the indirect tax space
• 10+ years of experience in indirect tax or tax technology
• Background in vendor product teams, top-tier tax technology consulting, or in-house at a global digital platform
• Deep understanding of how AI applies to tax content generation and validation
• Strong product judgment and ability to structure build sequences based on competitive positioning
• Ability to operate as a high-level individual contributor (Director-equivalent)
