About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of the North America tax strategy to optimize the tax profile and ensure regional compliance
  • Provide strategic direction to the North America tax team to focus on tax optimization and risk mitigation
  • Act as a business partner to provide real-time US tax technical input on various projects and business objectives
  • Collaborate with the Head of Tax Reporting to deliver accurate tax numbers, forecasting, and cash tax projections
  • Drive the strategic direction of external tax audits and enter into commercial negotiations with local tax authorities
  • Support Business Development and M&A activities to ensure tax-efficient implementation
  • Influence the Global Tax Strategy and drive process improvements across the leadership team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Professional qualification such as ACA or a local equivalent
  • 12+ years of tax expertise, including end-to-end transaction experience
  • Extensive experience in business partnering within complex, matrixed environments, ideally in FMCG or healthcare
  • Deep understanding of the US tax code, OECD guidelines, and local transfer pricing regulations
  • Proven experience negotiating with the IRS on tax matters
  • Advanced financial expertise in modeling, valuation, analysis, and forecasting
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives
