Tax Associate

Responsibilities

• Advise clients and attorneys on wealth transfer and charitable planning strategies, including retirement assets
• Perform tax research in the estate, gift, and non-profit areas
• Prepare estate tax projections and review estate, gift, individual income, and nonprofit tax returns
• Manage trust accountings and work with outside CPA firms to ensure planning is accurately reflected in filings
• Assist with drafting trust agreements and related transfer documents to implement tax planning
• Review existing estate planning documents to ensure proper tax reporting and identify new opportunities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in estate, gift, and income tax planning
• Proven experience with tax research in estate, gift, and non-profit areas
• Ability to advise on complex wealth transfer and charitable planning strategies
• Experience with estate tax projections and tax return review

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• LLM degree
