Tax Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of supervisors, managers, or partners
• Prepare complicated tax returns
• Participate in the planning and scheduling of client engagements
• Meet time constraints and client deadlines while maintaining high work quality
• Apply professional and firm standards to all technical tasks
• Think analytically to understand the "big picture" of each engagement
• Assist staff with work performance where applicable

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting environment
• CPA certification or currently working towards obtaining certification
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
• Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful
• Client service orientation with a creative and persistent approach to problem-solving
