Tax Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide full-service tax return preparation, advice, and calculations for simple to complex tax situations.
• Act as a proactive community ambassador by engaging with prospects and representing TurboTax locally.
• Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to optimize deductions and minimize tax liabilities for clients.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through both in-person interactions and virtual video communication.
• Build long-term client relationships and drive customer loyalty through professional advisory services.

Requirements

• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Ability to obtain necessary State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Availability for a flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond standard tax filing.
• Interest in creating accessible tax-related content for local and online social presence.
