Tax Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare VAT, customs, excise duty, environmental taxes, and connected supplementary returns using automation tools.
• Ensure compliance with market-specific regulatory requirements and legislative changes in collaboration with Tax Seniors.
• Support routine tax-related audit enquiries and projects under the supervision of the Tax Lead.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in a timely and compliant manner.
• Manage tax document retention for assigned markets.
• Drive continuous improvement of tax compliance processes using a LEAN approach.
• Monitor and embed new controls and KPI reports, investigating root causes for any errors.
• Maintain and supervise the Tax Calendar to ensure all filings are completed with high quality.
• Respond promptly to market queries and support direct tax leaders and business partners.

Requirements

• Qualified graduate economist.
• At least 1 year of post-qualification finance experience (internships are considered).
• Strong analytical and questioning skills.
• High level of numerical proficiency and advanced Excel usage.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a big-picture perspective.
• Self-motivated and highly organized approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at an operational level in tax, controls, and risk management.
• Proficiency in using SAP.
