Tax Advisory Specialist - Advanced

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced tax advisory support for Direct Tax and GST to optimize business structures
• Analyze new investment proposals and suggest optimal tax structures and potential incentives
• Support the preparation of submissions to tax authorities, including Assessing Officers and GST officers
• Represent the company before tax authorities and handle faceless assessments
• Support litigations and appeals for direct tax, transfer pricing, GST, and VAT at various levels
• Monitor regulatory changes in indirect and direct tax to assist with system and process updates
• Support the preparation and review of annual transfer pricing documentation
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
• 3 to 8 years of post-CA qualification experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in Direct Tax and GST
• Deep understanding of India tax standards, practices, laws, and regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within large accounting or auditing professional firms
• Proficiency with SAP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
