Talent Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment and selection processes for a variety of roles, including specialized, high-volume, and international positions
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, source candidates, and facilitate interviews
• Coordinate and deliver engaging onboarding and orientation programs for new employees
• Support employee engagement, performance management, and talent development initiatives
• Contribute to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle
• Maintain accurate employee and recruitment records using ATS, HRIS, and performance management platforms
• Provide guidance on employment legislation, collective agreement administration, and HR best practices

Requirements

• 2+ years of recruitment and selection experience
• 2+ years of talent management experience (onboarding, performance management, engagement, etc.)
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS, and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR policies
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CHRP or CHRL designation
• Experience recruiting in a unionized environment
• Experience supporting internships, student-funded programs, or international recruitment
