Talent Development Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants providing counseling and mentoring
• Assess participant competencies, work history, and skills to identify employment challenges
• Conduct regular individual meetings for job search, education, and job readiness
• Create individualized employment plans for short- and long-term goals
• Maintain information regarding area resources and employers
• Track participant accountability, attendance, and employment retention
• Provide case management to help customers achieve self-sufficiency
• Facilitate access to training, education, and employment services
• Deliver workshops to improve job readiness scores
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper participant files

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
• Related work experience in workforce development or similar programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Familiarity with local community needs and resources

Preferred Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in workforce development
