About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on vehicle-mounted and artillery weapon systems, including 120mm tank guns, 25mm chain guns, and 155mm Howitzer systems.
- Inspect and service fire control systems, recoil mechanisms, and stabilization systems.
- Conduct bore sighting, calibration, and functional testing of weapon systems.
- Follow applicable Technical Manuals (TMs) and Army maintenance standards to ensure compliance.
- Document all maintenance actions in GCSS-Army or equivalent systems.
- Replace or repair defective components such as breech assemblies, recoil systems, and hydraulic/electrical subsystems.
- Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and armament-related parts.
- Provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and operators.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Green Card holder (must have lived in the U.S. for at least the last 3 years).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tactical vehicle and artillery maintenance with armament systems.
- Experience in MOS 91A (Abrams Tank Systems Maintainer), 91M (Bradley Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer), or 91F (Small Arms/Artillery Repairer).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting weapon systems on armored vehicles and artillery platforms.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
