About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Government SEI&T technical lead, overseeing system-of-systems integration and verification for Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G)
- Lead and manage Government SEIT staff and supporting contractor teams to ensure alignment with program priorities
- Act as the primary SE&I technical authority to support government decision-making throughout the acquisition lifecycle
- Develop and oversee requirements verification documentation, including test plans, procedures, and traceability
- Support the development of core Systems Engineering documentation such as the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and Systems Integration and Test Plan (SITP)
- Evolve operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs for SATCOM capabilities
- Integrate Digital Engineering, Digital Environment processes, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to improve decision transparency
- Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical working groups, and integration forums
- Identify, document, and manage systems engineering and integration risks and mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
- 15+ years of experience in system specification development, verification, validation, and technical analysis
- Proven experience supporting space systems
- Experience leading SE&I activities across multiple teams or organizations
- Experience working directly with military or DoD civilian clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing Secret or higher security clearance
- Master's degree in a technical field
- Experience with military satellite communication systems (e.g., AEHF, EPS, WGS, PTS)
- Experience supporting US Space Force or Space Systems Command (SSC)
- Knowledge of MILSATCOM waveforms and protocols
- Practical experience using Jira and Confluence in digital engineering environments
- Systems engineering or program management certifications (e.g., CSEP, ESEP, PMP)
