- Minimum PSIRA Grade C (Renewed)
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (Handgun, Shotgun, and Self-loading Rifle)
- PFTC or Sasseta statement of results for Handgun, Shotgun, and Self-loading Rifle Business Purposes
- Armed Response/Reaction Certificate
- Valid driver's license
- No criminal record
- Written and verbal communication in English
- Physically and mentally fit for challenging environments
- Neat and presentable appearance
