Tacker

Responsibilities

• Fit, join, fabricate, and repair metal components using GTAW welding techniques
• Weld steel components according to layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
• Set up and lay out work using jigs and fixtures to fabricate parts or rework finished products
• Operate hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, and cutting torches
• Inspect and correct welds to ensure they meet product specifications and quality standards
• Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Collaborate with fitters and other team members on multi-component part fabrication

Requirements

• Proficiency in GTAW welding
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work orders
• Experience using hand power tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
• Ability to pass required GTAW weld tests
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work night shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in welding or a related fabrication field
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-cultural team environment
• Proven reliability and the ability to work under pressure in a production setting
