Systems Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving processes for electronic equipment returned from field service teams and customers
• Assess the functionality of systems and parts including cameras, DVRs, harnesses, and cables
• Dismantle, sort, and package equipment based on functionality for repair or vendor return
• Read service manuals and testing procedures to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units
• Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and software to isolate wiring and network connectivity issues
• Maintain accurate testing records, including failure reason codes and procedure results
• Follow strict SOPs to protect video evidence and manage data destruction on secured hard drives

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of technician service experience (e.g., 12-volt electronics, CCTV, GPS, or access control)
• Proficiency with standard hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs regularly and stand for up to 8 hours in a warehouse environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade, vocational, or technical school degree
• Experience with analog/digital test equipment and CCTV testing devices
• Knowledge of electronic testing equipment and component-level troubleshooting
