Systems Test Engineer (PHY Layer)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system test plans for product features and implement automation test scripts in collaboration with systems and software teams.
• Define, implement, and tune key performance indicators (KPIs) to track release progress via automated dashboards.
• Perform daily performance regression analysis to identify software, hardware, or test fixture-specific failures.
• Analyze failures and perform root cause analysis by investigating performance figures and system logs.
• Review daily pipelines and assist in identifying and fixing infrastructure issues to optimize test scheduling and capacity.
• Support the timely release of software and hardware products by interfacing with systems engineers and program managers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred with a focus on wireless communications and signal processing).
• 3+ years of experience in wireless device and system verification.
• Working experience with OFDM wireless system development and validation (e.g., LTE/5G-NR, IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/ad/ay).
• Proven ability to design, develop, and implement automation solutions in Python from scratch.
• Experience with TCP/UDP traffic generation tools, traffic testing, and protocol-level debugging.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, Git, GitLab, and Jira.
• Strong analytical, triage, and communication skills.
