Systems Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing new features and developing test cases
• Assemble new hardware and firmware, instrument setups, and perform manual tests
• Solve integration problems and create automated system-level regression tests
• Review firmware code to highlight limitations and propose fixes
• Work cross-functionally with EE, ME, FW, and Systems teams
• Ensure system requirements are met and behavior is robust across corner cases
• Root cause issues and perform tests to exercise system limits
• Define and implement hardware in the loop testing
• Evaluate new tools and equipment to improve testing processes

Requirements

• Experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
• Strong Python scripting and device control skills
• Understanding of C programming language
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and data analysis tools (Jenkins, AWS, Grafana)
• Experience with hardware in the loop testing
• Ability to read electrical schematics and component datasheets
• BS in CS, EE, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BMS, batteries, and power electronics
• Experience with CAN, Wifi, and Ethernet communications
