Systems Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain RF and microwave sites within the network to ensure service reliability and meet SLAs.
• Perform first-line maintenance, including visual inspections, functional checks, and structural/lightning protection inspections.
• Respond to network incidents and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Conduct site troubleshooting, capacity upgrades/downgrades, and microwave transmission maintenance.
• Manage MUX/DEMUX operation and maintenance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for supplemental support services.
• Deploy and recover mobile site assets.
• Maintain system installations in compliance with Motorola R56 standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or technical degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics (recent graduates or final-year students with full availability are welcome).
• 2+ years of experience in the telecommunications field.
• Valid driver's license (mandatory).
• Upper intermediate English proficiency for business communication.
• Strong knowledge of RF principles and transmission theory.
• Experience with LMR, P25, or TETRA networks.
• Knowledge of microwave transmission systems and AC/DC power systems.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS administration and IP networking configuration.
