Systems Software Engineer, ML & Robotics Infra

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the messaging substrate (IPC) for high-throughput sensor data and low-latency event flow
• Develop high-throughput data logging and dynamic trigger infrastructure for field debugging
• Perform CPU performance tuning and code optimization to drive down latency across the stack
• Design scheduling and monitoring systems to manage how work is dispatched and prioritized on the robot
• Build observability, tracing, and profiling tools to enable runtime introspection
• Enable offline replay systems for debugging, regression testing, and ML iteration

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience developing systems software for high-performance, low-latency, or pseudo-realtime environments
• Strong proficiency in C++, C, or Rust
• Deep Linux expertise including scheduling, IPC, kernel tuning, and memory management
• Hands-on experience with CPU performance optimization
• Strong systems debugging skills using tools such as perf, ftrace, or eBPF

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing systems software for autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other physical systems
• Experience building observability or tracing infrastructure for distributed or multi-process systems
• Experience designing high-throughput logging systems or deterministic replay systems
• Experience with build systems and over-the-air (OTA) updates
